Sending Mail

The mailing address for the Lake County Jail is:

Lakeport, CA 95453

Incoming mail must include the sender's name, a complete return address, and the inmate's full name with the facility address. All mail must be mailed through the U.S. Postal service. No mail will be forwarded to inmates released from the facility.

Books, Newspapers, Magazines

Books, newspapers or magazines must be mailed directly from the publisher. Only soft cover books are accepted into the facility.

Items Not Permitted

In order to prevent contraband from getting into the facility, mail consisting of, or containing, any of the following will not be accepted. Any mail containing the following will either be returned to sender or placed in the inmate's property:

  • Polaroid photographs
  • Photos larger than 8 inches by 10 inches
  • Pornographic material
  • Envelopes, stamps and stickers
  • Writing paper
  • Puzzles
  • Perfume scented letters
  • Letters marked with lipstick
  • Bodily fluids
  • Anything written with a felt marker, glitter pen, or crayon
  • Any other item determined to be contraband by facility staff

Telephone

Inmates generally have access to telephones between the hours of 8 am to 11:30 pm unless there is a facility need. All outgoing phone calls are made collect. To create a prepaid collect account please visit the ICSolutions website or call 888-506-8407.

With your ICSolutions prepaid collect account you can leave an inmate a voicemail by calling 707-530-2100. You will need the inmate's ID number and your PIN for your prepaid collect account.
