Mission
To provide the people of Lake County with a consistent, high level of service in public works and contribute to the vitality of the region while protecting and enhancing the quality of life in Lake County.
Responsibilities
The Department is responsible for the administration and the activities of 20 budget units plus mitigation fees, which are conducted through five Divisions.
Staff
The Department is administered by the Director of Public Works and a management staff consisting of four Division Managers. The Director also serves as Airport Manager, County Road Commissioner, and County Engineer.
