Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
The County of Lake Human Resources Department is committed to providing a diverse and inclusive workforce. HR has taken measures to ensure D&I is a top priority.
RECRUITMENT
The County of Lake utilizes diverse avenues to advertise open opportunities. Our outreach efforts to attract a diverse applicant pool include attending career fairs and conferences at local schools, universities, and non-profit organizations. With the creation of the recruitment and selection process, hiring managers can learn how to effectively select a diverse panel for application screenings and interviews as well as the importance of diversity in the workplace. During the interview process, we included questions directly related to D&I and equity.
TRAININGS
Harassment, Discrimination, Bulling Prevention Training Required for all staff
All County of Lake nonsupervisory employees take 1-hour of sexual harassment and abusive conduct prevention training. Supervisors and managers take a 2-hour sexual harassment and abusive conduct prevention training as required by California law.
