You can apply for an online library card. This will give you a temporary card number and PIN that you can use for immediate access to our online resources. You can come pick up a permanent physical card by showing your ID and telling staff your online library card number at any branch of the Lake County Library.
Please note: If you already have a Lake County Library card or you have a library card from Sonoma County or Mendocino County Library you don't need to apply for a card online. We share a joint system with the Sonoma and Mendocino County Library systems and honor their cards for our physical materials. If you don't have your card or don't know the card number just contact your local branch by phone or by emailing library@lakecountyca.gov and we will let you know your card number.
After clicking the link below fill out the form completely to apply for an online library card. Please use your FULL NAME how it appears on your Driver's License or ID. After receiving your online library card number please write it down for future use.

What's a Library PIN?
To access our online catalog or digital resources you will often be asked your PIN. Your PIN is usually the last four digits of the phone number on your library card registration unless you changed it or set it yourself when applying for an online library card. If you don't know your PIN you can call or email the library to get a new PIN.
